The Seribu Island Water Resources Sub-agency has completed the construction of connecting bridge on the southern of Harapan Island beach, Seribu Utara Island Sub-district. Now the bridge can be accessed.

Sub-agency Head, Hendri, said the construction that was started in November 2023 was obstructed by extreme weather in the early year.

"The construction was delayed due to material distribution was obstructed by extreme weather," he said, Thursday (1/18).

He added that the bridge dimension is 22 meters x 1.5 meters. While its thickness is 20 cm. The height from the surface is two meters.

"The bridge is strengthened with cast concrete and 15 support pillars embedded in the anchor pool," he added.

According to him, the construction was done manually by involving nine sub-agency personnel.

"The bridge will also be decorated with lighting and painting," he closed.

Meanwhile, Shobri, one of local residents, admitted the connecting bridge that is built in front of his house is very useful to reach RW 03.

He appreciated the sub-agency for constructing the bridge that is also completed with guard rail.

"I hope the bridge will last longer. We'll commit to take care the bridge together," he stated.
